Chef Christophe Ehrhart was born in Alsace France and has worked in Michelin restaurants in Europe. He also spent time preparing Presidential and Diplomatic Dinners in Washington. Christophe wanted to bring his talents to California to take advantage of the fresh food produce offered and thought the artistic California life style complimented his knowledge of European cuisine. They serve up fresh made breakfast, lunch and dinner which recently started to focus on small plates to allow for more of an experience. Bistro La Petite France has just received their alcohol license and they now carry Casque's 2007 Calotte Blanc and the 2006 Syrah.

Carpe Vino is known for their fine wine shop, fine restaurant and fine art in historic Auburn. As of March 5th they have changed from Fine Dining to Small Plate food, but you can still get enough for dinner if you want. Carpe Vino is opening up the Tasting room "Placer and Beyond" at their shop that will feature 11 local wineries. They will be featuring 15 wines each week in the Placer and Beyond room where you can buy 5 one ounce pours for $5, or individual pours of 3 or 6 ounces. They currently carry our entire line up of wines. We encourage you to visit them and enjoy some of Auburn's old town history.
